Luis Garcia-Medina

SSGT Luis E. Garcia-Medina, age 29, of Abilene passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.

Luis was born on November 28, 1989, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He graduated from Shoemaker High School in Killeen in 2007. He joined the United States Air Force right after high school and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He married Mitzy B Vazquez on July 1, 2015, in Abilene. Luis enjoyed being a father to his three-year-old son, Alexander. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading and listening to podcasts. He loved to learn about technology and was fascinated by outer space. He was also loved nature and was a coffee enthusiast.

Luis is survived by his wife, Mitzy Garcia; son, Alexander Garcia; mother, Luz Medina; siblings, Cristhian Garcia, Stacey Ramos, and Raymond Ramos and four nieces.
