Louise Null Holbert, 94 of Lampasas passed away Tuesday September 12, 2017 in Temple, Texas. She was born May 23, 1923 in Union Bower, Texas (now part of Irving) to David and Bessie Null. She was the 4th youngest in a family of 14 children. Louise married William C. (Bill) Holbert on November 17, 1941 in Weatherford. They enjoyed 62 years together until his death in 2004. In her earlier years Louise worked as a seamstress for Caton’s Fluffy Ruffling Company in Arlington sewing little girls dresses. Her love of sewing continued throughout her life until the last 2 years when health problems forced her to give up her beloved hobby. She also enjoyed cooking, especially baking, and bringing her dishes to family gatherings and dinner on the grounds at School Creek Baptist Church where she was a member. Louise loved her family and friends and enjoyed keeping in contact with them. One of her prized possessions was her phone which she used daily to talk to her family and friends. Until the last 2 years Louise worked with 4 other ladies at her church every Monday morning making sure the church was clean and ready for services during the week. She loved doing this job and working with her special friends; Maudean, Doris, Gladys and Emily. Survivors include: 3 daughters; Mary Ann Langley and husband George of Lampasas Barbara Wright and husband Bill of Mesquite Linda Boorman and husband Paul of Jefferson City, MO 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter 2 brothers; Tom Null of Waller, TX Wesley Null of ft. Worth Louise was preceded in death by her parents and by son, Billy Holbert and by 9 brothers and 2 sisters. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Spring Oaks Nursing and Rehab and Dr. Robin Gruen for their special care of Louise. Also, thank you to the staff in the Special Treatment Center and the hospice care group at Scott and White for their gentle and loving care during Louise’s last few days. Visitation is Friday September 15, 2017 from 9-10 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel and funeral begins at 10 a.m. Burial is at 3 p.m. in Cleburne, TX.
