Loretta Tittle Lindsey passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on September 2, 2024, at Lily Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lampasas, TX. She was born on October 18, 1937, in Lampasas, TX.
Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas at 2 pm with burial to follow at Smith Cemetery in Kempner.
Loretta grew up in Lampasas, TX where she went to school and graduated from Lampasas High School. She worked for the Department of Public Safety in Austin, TX for many years and retired there as a data entry clerk. In later years, she worked for The Village in Lampasas, TX until her eyesight deteriorated from macular degeneration.
Loretta married the love of her life, Vernon Monroe Lindsey on September 13, 1957 in Lampasas, TX. They traveled around for many years as Vernon followed construction work. After they retired, they moved from Leander, TX to the river at Bend, TX. Loretta and Vernon were happily married until Vernon passed away in 2021.
Loretta is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; her son, Alvin Lindsey; her daughter, Lisa Bonnett; her parents, Bill and Ora Tittle; her sister, Billye Dale Nobles; her brother-in-law, Jack Nobles and her nephew, Paul Nobles.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammie Lindsey of Lampasas, TX; her grandsons, Bobby Clopton, Trey Clopton, Cody Bolt, Joshua Bolt and Hyatt Bolt; her granddaughters, Meloni Stendebach, Jessica Bonnett, Cassie Payne, Michelle Galvan and Erica Nastasi and their families; 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her nephew, Robert Dale Nobles and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
