Mrs. Lois Mae Cummins age 82 of DeRidder, Louisiana, formerly of Kempner, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 in Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove Chapel, with Jim Disimoni officiating. Burial will follow in the Kempner Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, January 15th at the funeral home.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Fisher and husband Russell of Hammond, Indiana; two sons, Ralph Schrum and wife Debra of Copperas Cove, Robert Schrum and wife Sharon of Copperas Cove; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; two brothers, William Shropshire and wife Carol of Hammond, Indiana, George Shropshire and wife Laura of Hammond, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Cummins; daughter, Lois Ann Holloway; sister, Margaret McLean; father, James Scully; mother and step-father, Margaret and William Shropshire.
Lois was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Copperas Cove, where she enjoyed playing Bingo and being with her many friends.
