Lenora Bales Hetherly

Lenora Bales Hetherly passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 22, 2018 at her residence in Marble Falls Texas. She was born September 14, 1936 to Wilma Edith(Eddie) and Leo Bales of Lampasas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jim Hetherly. She received a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Texas and enjoyed teaching elementary school. She was an avid tennis player, and a member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas.   She is survived by 2 children, Richard Hetherly of Dallas and Julie Laine of Horseshoe Bay and her husband David. Also, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She lived a long full life and will be missed by all who knew her. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 31st, 1PM at Sneed Funeral Chapel, 201 East Third Street in Lampasas, TX. Lenora requested honorary memorials be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston TX (gifts.mdanderson.org), or the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy (barbarabush.org), or a charity of your choice.
