Laura Elaine Goodwin Jones

Laura Elaine Goodwin, 75, passed away on October 2, 2022, at home with her husband, Elzie Jones by her side in Lampasas, TX.  She was born on January 8, 1947, in Lampasas, TX to Lamartine and Mattie Belle Goodwin.

Laura grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1965.  After high school, she attended Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Education.  She then went on to attend Baylor University in Waco, TX where she received a Master's Degree in Education.  Laura worked as an elementary teacher and later as a diagnostician for Cameron ISD, Caldwell ISD, Copperas Cove ISD, and Lampasas ISD for over 30 years.

Laura married Elzie Jones in 2004, in Lampasas, TX and they were happily married for 18 years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church Lampasas and enjoyed sewing and spending time with family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lamartine and Mattie Belle Goodwin.

Laura is survived by her spouse, Elzie Jones of Lampasas; her sons, Eric (Shanon) Pimpler, and Grant (Kristen) Pimpler both of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX; her sister's, Wilma (Albert) Landry of Liberty Hill, TX, and Venona (Ronnie) Patterson of Lampasas, TX; brother's Ben Goodwin and Earnest Goodwin both of Lampasas; her grandchildren, Whitney Pimpler, Elizabeth Pimpler, Jackson Pimpler, Sydney Pimpler, and Abigail Pimpler.
