Kenneth M. Patchell, a man who dedicated over 40 years of his life to Uhaul and served as the Shop President, has sadly left us on August 18, 2023. Born on May 22, 1954, Kenneth's passing is mourned by all whose lives he touched.
Ken completed his high school education at Hamden High School in 1972. After graduating, he embarked upon a successful career at Uhaul, where he diligently worked for over four decades. His commitment and dedication to his work were commendable, making him an exemplary employee.
Beyond his career achievements, Kenneth M. Patchell will be remembered for the love and devotion he showed towards those closest to him. He possessed a heart overflowing with affection and tenderness, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Kenneth's loss weighs heavily on his surviving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosalie Peckingham Patchell, his father Kenneth M. Patchell, and his sister Karen Burch. Although their hearts are heavy with grief, it is important to cherish the memories they shared with Kenneth throughout his life.
Sharen Faye Patchell was Ken's beloved wife of 24 years; their union was filled with love and cherished moments. Kevin Patchell of Wallingford, CT mourns the loss of his brother profoundly. Kenneth also leaves behind a beautiful legacy through his children: Michelle Kirkpatrick and her husband Justin; Steve Patchell and his wife Kristine; William Evans; Trevor Evans; Heather Garcia and her husband Johnny; Brian Patchell and his wife Anna; Jaimie Andrews and her husband Brian.
In addition to his children, Kenneth also leaves behind several grandchildren who meant the world to him: Grace and Faith Kirkpatrick; Nicholas and Lynsey Patchell; Christian Perez-Cameron, Jaiden and Devin Garcia; Jonathan, Brendan and Lauren Patchell; and Josh Andrews. Each grandchild holds a special place in Ken's heart, and his love for them will be remembered always.
Furthermore, Kenneth M. Patchell's impact extended to his extended family as well. He had the pleasure of being an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Special thank you, to Kenny's brother Kevin, his daughters Heather and Michelle and his niece, Jessica Vitale for helping honor his wishes.
Kenneth M. Patchell's passing is mourned by all those whose lives he brightened with his kindness, devotion, and compassion. While we grieve the loss of such an incredible person, it is important to remember that his legacy lives on through the memories we shared with him.
