Kelvin Barnes

Kelvin L. Barnes, age 49, of Copperas Cove, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020, in Killeen. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove with burial following at the Copperas Cove City Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.

Kelvin was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Ethel Barnes on January 12, 1971.  He attended Alcee Fortier High School.  Kelvin was a self-taught mechanic and was a profound pool player. He worked with his friend/brother for the family business of Walker Trucking.

Kelvin is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Barnes, and his eldest sister, Sharon Smith

Kelvin is survived by his three sons; Jericho Hamburg, Demaris Jenks, Darnell Perkins, his daughter N’yha Barnes, his two sisters Kimberly Barnes and Linda Batiste, his grandson Drake Jenks, girlfriend Florence Terrell, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
