Katherine E. Berry

Katherine Esther Berry, 84 of Lampasas, Texas died Monday March 16, 2020 at a local nursing home. She was born December 9, 1935 in Cripple Creek, CO to parents Charles Joseph Harrison and Katherine E. (Boehner) Harrison. She moved to this area in 1956 and met a young man named Alton Thomas Berry. Shortly after, they were married in 1957. Kathy was a an active member of the community serving as Girl Scout Leader, member of the Garden Club, Sweet Adelines and she later volunteered at Metroplex Hospital Nursery holding newborn babies. She was a member of the Central Christian Church and Community Church. “Grandy’s life work was babysitting her grandchildren and many other children in the community. Kathy is survived by 2 sons; Brett Allen Berry (Sherrie), Thomas Van Berry (Dayna) Daughter, Shelly Rene’ Berry 7 grandchildren; Kristopher Morin, Marley Moncus (Luke), Bethany Hair (Michael), Brady Berry, Kirby Berry, Hadley Berry and Gage Berry. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, by husband Alton Berry and 5 brothers. Graveside funeral service will be Friday March 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Friday morning from 10 am until noon at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House or Community Church in Lampasas.
