Judy Lynn Herbst

Judy Lynn Foster was born in Amarillo, TX on March 6, 1943 to parents Van Foster and Hazel (Shufelt) Foster. She went to high school in Borger, TX, and later eloped with Jarvis Jordan Herbst to New Mexico on January 4, 1963. They lived in Idalou for several years with Denise and Dennis, and later moved to Adamsville where John was born. They lived on their family farm in Idalou raising cotton. When they moved to Adamsville around 1965 they began ranching with cattle, sheep, goats and horses. Judy Herbst went to be with Jesus surrounded by her children and grand-children on October the 13th 2019. She was the beloved wife of Jarvis Herbst. much loved mother of Denise Fluitt, Dennis & Sharon Herbst and John & Jill Herbst. Cherished grandmother of Bryan and Kim Fluitt, Brandon and Sarah Fluitt, Brice and Amber Fluitt, Brady and Jordan Fluitt, Makayla Fluitt, Jordan and Jordy Herbst, Jessie Herbst, Hannah and Jack Herbst. Great grandmother of Braylee, Gunner, Garrett, and Sam Fluitt. Dear sister of the late Diane Foster, the late Mary Konechney and her late husband Harvey, the late Van R. (Bozo) Foster and his wife Peggy, Larry Foster his wife Dian, Lillian Noble and her husband Jerry, Patsy Kelley and her late husband Bill, Suzanne Kerwin and her husband Gene. Remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Judy was a wonderful beautician. She beautified her clients in the little house on top of the hill behind her home. People came from miles around to enjoy her skills, humor, and friendship. She was a creative homemaker and loved crafting, gardening, fishing and cooking. As a loving mother, Judy taught her children about unconditional love, and shared her love with her friends, neighbors, and Sunday school children. The Adamsville Baptist Church was her second family; her puppet making skills will be remembered by many of her students. Judy loved to share her garden veggies and flowers with everyone. It was her way of witnessing about Jesus who she loved so much. Judy will be missed by every person that had the chance to know her. Her spirit of giving was a light in this world that touched so many lives and she will remain in our memories forever!!!! Services will be held at the Adamsville Baptist Church Hwy. 281 Adamsville Texas at 2:00pm on Thursday October 17th in the sanctuary. A reception and time of visitation will follow.
