Joyce Marie White

Joyce Marie White, 84, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at her home in Lampasas. 

Funeral services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 3 pm with visitation an hour prior.  

Funeral services in Fulton, MS will be held at Senter Funeral Directors on Monday, December 30, at 2 pm with visitation prior starting at Noon.  Burial will follow at Mount Zion Church Cemetery in Tremont, MS.

Joyce was born on June 15, 1940, in Cambridge Springs, PA to Kenneth and Marian (Simington) Mitchell.  She earned her B.A. in 1962 from Edinboro University and her MEd in 1969.  She taught school at Conneaut School District, Lampasas ISD and Copperas Cove ISD.  On January 9, 1993, she married Albert White and they were happily married for almost 32 years.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Raymond Neil Mitchell, and Richard B. Mitchell, and her grandson, Anthony Dwayne White.

She is survived by her husband, Albert; her children, Rebecca Ann Lasko (Veroneau) and husband Mike, and Daniel Kenneth Lasko and wife Jody; her stepchildren, David White (fiance Kayla Sunday), Michael White (Bessie), Cynthia Sanbower (Bill Merchant); her grandchildren, Andrea White, Faith Moorhouse, Hope Veroneau, August Lasko, Sarah Lasko, Mitchell Lasko, Michaela White, and Emily Lasko; her great-grandchildren, Phoebe Moorhouse, Samuel Moorhouse, and Josie Moorhouse.
