Joseph L. (Joe) Jones

Joseph L. (Joe) Jones, 79 of Lampasas, Texas died late Friday night November 2, 2018 at his home.He was born November 20, 1938 in Mt. Hope, WV the son of Everett Jones and Maxine (Stewart) Jones. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great-grandfather. He loved God, his family, his music and work. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He owned and operated Christine’s Used Cars in Copperas Cove for years. He married Christine Kinsey October 6, 1970. He was always helping someone in need. He had a kind heart. He belonged to 5 Hills Cowboy Church in Kempner, where he played the guitar and sang in the band. He also sang and played at other area churches until his health declined. Joe loved holidays and family get togethers, singing, music. He had a family of musicians that followed in his footsteps. He loved all the grandkids and loved seeing them. He will be missed. He is in heaven! Joe is survived by his wife, Christine Kinsey Jones 5 sons; Joey Jones (Amy) of Lampasas Stanley Jones of Big Spring Wayne Kolb of Abilene Steven Joseph Jones (Tina) of Columbus, OH Charles Everett Jones (Missy) of Vienna, WV 2 daughters; Tracey Lawrence of Gatesville Michelle Blocker (Thomas) of Cleburne 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildrenbrothers; Shad Stewart, Oscar Jones, Tim Jones, Billy Brownsisters; Shirley Miller, Sue Jones, Becky Lingerfelt   He was preceded in death by his parents, by brother, Buddy Jones, by nephew Denver Sneed, by grandson John Joseph Blocker and by grandson, Micah Kosa.   Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday November 6, 2018 at 12 noon at Langford Cemetery near Evant.
