John Wadlington

John Robert Wadlington, 70, of Copperas Cove, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021. A private family service will be held at a later date.

John was born to Frank Young and Marian Rebecca (Marshall) Wadlington on March 5, 1951, in Pasadena, Texas. John grew up in Pasadena and graduated high school from Sam Rayburn High School in 1969. John briefly relocated to San Marcos to attend Southwest Texas State University and later returned to Pasadena. John later moved to Houston and began to work for Goodyear as a VPP safety coordinator. He worked there for 36 ½ years before his retirement.

John met Pamela Broegman in 2004 at a Waffle House in Pasadena and they were later married on November 11, 2006.

John enjoyed hunting with his brother and brother-in-law, fishing, and reading a good mystery novel.

John was an affectionate, caring, and protective person.  He would help anyone who needed it; whether it be work or financial, John was there.

He will always be loved and missed.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Marian Wadlington.

John is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Dee Wadlington; son, Nickolas Wadlington and wife Kayla; stepdaughter, Shawn Black and husband, Ernest; brother, Frank Wadlington and wife, Susan; sister, Cathy Martz and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Peter Black, Cameron Black, Holly Black, Talin, Tucker, and Tegan; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Black, Trystan Black, Mason Black, and Camden Black; aunt, Dora Marshall; nephews, Kyle Wadlington and Kevin Martz; and niece, Mary Wadlington.
