John Logan Sebring, III, age 59, of Kempner, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, in Temple.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 19, 2021, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM at Viss Family Funeral Home, 1614 S. FM 116, Copperas Cove, TX 76522.

John was born on August 31, 1962, to John L. Sebring, Jr. and Janet Westfall Sebring in Washington, D.C. He grew up in Ohio and Florida and graduated from High School in Florida. After high school, John attended Rhema Bible School and received his degree in Bible. He was also a deputy sheriff before joining the United States Army. John served for 23 years, retiring as SFC in 2017. John married Jan Sorrells on April 30, 2005, at Christoval Baptist Church in Christoval, Texas. He earned numerous awards and medals to include the Bronze Star. John is a member of Living Hope Church in the Field in Kempner.

John was preceded in death by his father, John L. Sebring, Jr.

John is survived by his wife, Jan Sebring; mother, Janet Sebring; one sister, Rhonda Kelly; three children, Sarah Ferullo and husband, Justin, Logan Andrew Sebring, Lauren Elizabeth Sebring; two step-children, Joe David Glasscock and wife, Tiffany, Jana Sallee and husband, Beau; 11 grandchildren.
