John Casey

John Henry Casey, 60 of Copperas Cove, Texas passed away on July 9th, 2018.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14th at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

John was born in Frankfurt, Germany on December 22, 1957, to William and Hildegard Casey. John attended high school in Copperas Cove where he enjoyed and excelled at running track and playing football. After high school, John joined the U.S. Navy, which took him on many adventures around the world. After serving 10 years in the military John than spent 20+ years as a Correctional Officer for the state of California. John was extremely active in coaching his children’s many sports teams. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and softball. John was also an avid bingo player and if you ever went looking for him on a Thursday night you could find him at bingo.

His parents, William and Hildegard, preceded John in death.

John is survived by his three children J.D. Casey (California), Karri Casey and her husband Joshua Buskirk (California), Kelly Casey (Utah); two grandsons Lukas and Maverick Buskirk. Sisters Maria McInerney, Anne Casey and brother Kenny Casey.
