Jo Anne Rezny

Jo Anne Rezny, age 77, of Copperas Cove, passed away on the afternoon of November 23, 2022, surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life for Jo Anne will be held at 6:00 pm, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Viss Family Funeral Home, 1614 S FM 116, Copperas Cove, TX 76522.

Jo Anne was a loved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was born in Michigan to the late William and Clara Vanden Elst. She married her soulmate Duane ”Duke” Rezny and had three children; Carla, Renee, and Scott. She was a military wife that helped move her family to Germany, Michigan, Fort Dix, and Fort Hood, Texas. Over a span of 28 years, she supported Duane and served her country as he did. Over the years she wore many hats: From working at the Health Department, Cove Ford, owning her own dog grooming business (Another Lovely Pet), and retiring from the government at National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS). She enjoyed going to the casino, diamond art painting, dumpster diving at Goodwill, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; and son, Scott.

Jo Anne is survived by her daughters, Carla McHaney and husband, Greg and Renee Zeliff and husband, Doug; grandson, Jesse Zeliff; and great-grandaughter, Isabella "Karri” Zeliff.
