On June 21, 2024, the world lost a beacon of love and kindness, as Joan Antonia Bikoski peacefully passed away at her home in Kempner, TX. Born in Martins Ferry, OH on October 31, 1939, Joan lived a life filled with an appreciation for all the beauty the world had to offer and an abundance of love for all those who graced her life.
Joan was known for her loving and supportive nature, always ready to lend a listening ear and provide sought-after advice. She found joy in exploring beaches, mountains, and forests, cherishing the wonders of nature and sharing them with those around her. Her home was a sanctuary of comfort and warmth, a place where everyone felt welcomed and at ease.
One of Joan's proudest accomplishments was raising a loving family while supporting her husband Robert Bikoski during his over twenty years of service in the Air Force and a career in Civil Service. Their strong bond lasted for 60 beautiful years.
Joan will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends, including her eldest daughter Kimberly Bikoski and daughter Christine Watson. She leaves behind her adored granddaughter Analise Watson, sterling grandson John Alptekin, as well as Barbara Alptekin and Aytac Alptekin, very close family members. Additionally, she formed cherished, longtime friendships with Del Marshall, Carol Courtney, Kathy Woehl, and many others.
In our hearts, Joan will forever remain as a symbol of love, compassion, and unwavering strength. May she rest in peace knowing she touched so many lives with her kindness and gentle spirit.
