Jo Lea McBride

Jo Lea McBride, 66, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at her home in Round Rock, TX.  

Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 11 am with a visitation an hour prior.

Jo Lea was born on July 22, 1956, in Lampasas, TX to Dale and Jennene (Hatfield) McBride.  She grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1974, where she was head cheerleader, Miss LHS, Homecoming Queen, and class treasurer.  After high school, she moved to Austin, TX, and began work for Southwestern Bell as a customer service representative where she retired after 30 years.

Jo Lea touched many hearts with her vibrant energy and caring soul.  Her kids were her most cherished accomplishment.  She enjoyed beach trips, traveling, and spending time with her grandkids.  

Jo Lea was preceded in death by her father, Dale McBride, and mother, Jennene Munn.

Survivors include her son Drew (Heather) Davis of Pflugerville, TX; her daughter, Jenna (Bryant Simmons) Wilks of Pflugerville, TX; her brother, Terry (Cathy) McBride of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Kaden, Kayla, Devin, Riley, Dlaney, Jalea, Bryten, AJ and Brennan; and nieces, BethAnn, Stella, and Lilly.
