Jo Ann Tally

Jo Ann Barker Tally, 89, finished strong and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 5th, 2019, in San Antonio, Texas.  She loved her family, listening to country music, bingo, taking drives, and drinking Coca Cola.   Jo Ann was born October 2nd, 1930, in Lampasas to parents George Barker, Sr. and Ruth McCrea Barker.  She attended school at Nix, and later graduated from Lampasas High School.  Jo Ann has three surviving children from her marriage to Charles Lancaster:  Cheryl McMahan (Pat) of San Antonio, Brad Lancaster (Patricia) of Lampasas, and Charlsey Nisley (Dan) of Georgetown.   She is also survived by grandchildren:   Chris McMahan (Zsuzsanna) of Baltimore, M.D.                                                                 Meredith Tucker (Travis) of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX                                                                 Jessica Pechak of Kempner                                                                 J.R. Barker, George Barker, Jr., sisters, Billie Anthony, Esta Fay Faulkner, Patricia Nell Monroe, and Betty Lynn Whitis. Also by her husband Allen Tally. She was also preceded in death by great-grandchild Mia Bachman.   A viewing will be held Monday, December 9th, from 10:00 to 11:00 at Sneed Funeral Chapel, followed by a graveside funeral service at 11:30 at Oak Hill Cemetery.
