Jerry Swindell

Jerry J. Swindell, 65, of Kempner, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Monday at Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.

Jerry was born on November 14, 2019, at Lumberton, NC to the late Frank and Elizabeth Houston Swindell. He graduated from Pembroke High School in 1971. He married Cedelia Thompson on June 24, 1972, in Dillion, SC. He joined the United States Army in 1977 and served for nine years. They settled in Kempner and he attended Central Texas College. Jerry and his family traveled all over the world.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cedelia Thompson Swindell; brother, Buck Swindell; and sisters, Coone Swindell, Sue Belle Swindell.

Jerry is survived by his children, Cedelia D. Swindell, Jerry Swindell II; and sisters, Gwen Lesane and, Mabel Brackett.
