Jerry Wayne Bertrand

Jerry W. Bertrand, 76, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021, at Sneed Funeral Chapel.

Jerry was born September 19, 1944, in Crowley, Louisiana to Joseph M. Bertrand and Viola Sarver Bertrand.  He grew up in Ebenezer, Lousiana, and graduated from Crowley High School in 1964.  After high school, he began work as a butcher, a career that lasted 50 years.  He married Lynette Faubion in 1965, in Highlands, Texas and they were happily married for 55 years.  Jerry enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He attended all of his grandchildren's sporting events.  He loved to barbecue and cooked at the Houston Livestock Show.  Jerry was preceded in death by two brothers.

Survivors include his spouse, Lynette of Lampasas; daughter, Shelia Haynes, and husband, Terry of Lampasas; sons, Bradley Bertrand, and wife, Regina of Lampasas, Steve Bertrand and Autumn of Abilene; brother, Robert Bertrand of Crowley, Louisiana; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and "adopted" children and grandchildren.
