Jean Dorothy (Waldeck) Viguers

Jean Dorothy (Waldeck) Viguers, 98, passed away on September 12, 2020, in Harker Heights. Jean was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to John and Emma Waldeck. She grew up in the Roxborough neighborhood of Philadelphia and graduated from Roxborough High School. Much of her adult life was spent in Pennsylvania but later moved to California. She then moved to New Jersey and finally to Lampasas, Texas in 2006. Jean was an animal lover and enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the deer in her backyard. She was also active on several Facebook groups where she was able to contribute a vast amount of knowledge regarding the Roxborough and Philadelphia area. She also enjoyed researching ancestry for her family and for several close friends. Jean loved reading books and engaging in conversations with people. She always said, "listening to other people and hearing their stories was like reading a book". Jean is survived by her son, David Viguers, and his wife Sandra of Llano, Texas; daughters, Nancy Farrington of Seminole, Florida, Carol Klingel of Egg Harbor City, New Jersey; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Her presence will be missed but her memory will live forever. No in person memorial service is planned due to the current health situation, however, her Facebook page will be memorialized.
