FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. JANET MARIE MAILOU ARE SCHEDULED FOR 12:30 P.M., WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2010 AT THE SHEPPARD CHAPEL OF MEMORIES WITH CHAPLAIN JUDY HOELSCHER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT 2:00 P.M., AT THE CENTRAL TEXAS STATE VETERANS CEMETERY IN KILLEEN WITH MILITARY HONORS. VISITATION WILL BE 6:OO P.M. TO 8:00 P.M., TUESDAY, DECEMBER 14, AT THE FUNERAL HOME. MRS. MAILOU PASSED AWAY DECEMBER 11, 2010 AT HER HOME IN KEMPNER. JANET MARIE MILLER WAS BORN ON MARCH 23, 1954 IN BETHANY, MISSOURI TO CHARLES WILLIAM MILLER AND KATHLEEN MAY MAGEE MILLER OF GILMAN CITY, MISSOURI. SHE GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL AND THEN ATTENDED COLLEGE AT NORTHWEST MISSOURI UNIVERSITY. MRS. MAILOU ENLISTED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY IN FEBRAURY 1978. WHILE STATIONED AT FORT RILEY, KANSAS; SHE MARRIED HER HUSBAND PAUL K. MAILOU JR. AFTER HAVING COMPLETED HER FOUR YEARS OF MILITARY SERVICE, JANET MAILOU WAS DISCHARGED FROM THE ARMY. SHE DEVOTED THE REST OF HER LIFE AS A MILITARY SPOUSE, SUPPORTING HER HUSBAND ON HIS 30 YEAR CAREER WHEREVER IT LED. SHE COMMITTED HERSELF AS A STAY AT HOME MOTHER TO RAISE THEIR ONLY DAUGHTER, AND GREATLY ASSISTED IN THE CARE OF HER GRANDSON. HER MILITARY DECORATIONS ARE: GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, ARMY SERVICE RIBBON, NONCOMMISSIONED OFFICER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT RIBBON, AND ARMY COMMENDATION MEDAL. LOVING FAMILY: HUSBAND, PAUL K. MAILOU, JR. OF KEMPNER, TEXAS DAUGHTER, KRISTINA LYNNE MAILOU OF KEMPNER, TEXAS SISTER, LOUISE BIRD AND HER HUSBAND JOE OF GALLATIN, MISSOURI SISTER, RUTH HAGER AND HER HUSBAND RANDY OF CHILLICOTHE, MISSOURI SISTER, KATHRYN KEITHLEY AND HER HUSBAND MARK OF HONG KONG BROTHER, KENT MILLER AND HIS WIFE CONNIE OF EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, MISSOURI BROTHER, JOHN MILLER AND IS WIFE DEBBIE OF BELLFLOWER, CALIFORNIA BROTHER, RICHARD MILLER OF SAINT JOSEPH, MISSOURI ONE GRANDSON, NIKOLAS EDWARDS SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS, CHARLES AND KATHLEEN MILLER AND ONE SISTER TERRY FRANCIS.
