Janet Hays

Janet M. Hays, age 66, of Copperas Cove passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Janet was born on May 22, 1951 in Lincoln, NE to the late Leo Warren and Ruth Mae (Brown) Hall. She graduated from Lincoln East High School in 1969. Janet married Wilbur Hays on April 8, 1977 in Clarksville, TN. Janet supported Wilbur as he was stationed all over the world with the United States Army. They retired in Copperas Cove in 1993. She loved the water and spending time with her family.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol Ann Anderson; and her step-father, Ira Burnell Youngberg.
Janet is survived by her husband, Wilbur Hays; son, Shane Pierce Hays; daughter, Christina Mary Hays; sister, Mary Susan Hughes; grandchildren, Malekai Hays, and Aiden Martinez. As well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
