Janee Beck

Janee Wilkinson Beck, was born on November 27, 1970, in Killeen, Texas, departed from this world on March 20, 2025, in Round Rock, Texas, leaving behind a profound legacy in education and a warm imprint on the hearts of all who knew her.

For over 26 years, Janee dedicated her life to working in education as a teacher and paraprofessional in special education. Her enthusiasm and commitment to her students were palpable; she cherished every moment spent in her classroom, forging lasting connections with each child. Becoming a teacher was not just a career for Janee; it was a proud accomplishment that she embraced with unwavering passion and love for learning.

Janee had a gift for connecting with people, renowned for her great sense of humor and her genuine love for kids. She could differentiate between adults and children and was equally comfortable engaging with adults around town and then going home to play with children. Her ability to balance her roles in life was a testament to her nurturing nature and her unique ability to bring joy to those around her.

The family was at the heart of Janee's life. Many cherished memories were made in the company of loved ones, where she relished spending time with family and watching their sporting endeavors. A passionate sports enthusiast, Janee enjoyed attending minor league baseball games at the Dell Diamond and cheered on the Texas Rangers alongside her father. Janee was also an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Aggies fan. She took immense pride in supporting her students at their athletic events, always there to encourage and celebrate their achievements.

Janee earned her Bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana Wesleyan University, laying a strong foundation for her impactful career. Those who had the honor of calling her a colleague, friend, or family member will forever remember her warmth, her infectious laughter, and the genuine compassion she showed to everyone in her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buzz Beck; and mother, Marie Fillmon Wilkinson; brother, Ricky Wilkinson; and sister, Kimberly Wilkinson.

Janee is survived by her father, Jim Wilkinson; brothers, Barry Wilkinson and wife, Karon, Roger Wilkinson and wife, Lisa; niece, Jessie Wilkinson; and nephew, Eric Wilkinson

The funeral service to celebrate Janee's life will be held on March 25, 2025, at the Church of Christ Cove in Copperas Cove, Texas, at 11:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at Pearl Cemetery, at 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Janee's life will take place Monday evening, March 24, 2025, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., at the Church of Christ Cove, 306 W Ave E, Copperas Cove, TX 76522.

Janee Beck’s legacy will endure among the countless lives she touched, an embodiment of unyielding love for education and family. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all whose paths she crossed.
