Jane Wolfe Wieser, age 101, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022, at her home in Lampasas. She was born in Groesbeck, Texas on July 5, 1921, to Herbert and Molly Wolfe.
Jane grew up in Hico, Texas, graduated from Hico High School, and attended Baylor University. She married Sidney Wieser in 1940 and lived in Hamilton, Texas until 1954 when they moved to Lampasas. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, a Sunday School teacher, a board member of the Lampasas Public Library, a volunteer at Rollins Brook Hospital, and a member of the Thursday Luncheon Club and an avid bridge player.
Jane is survived by daughters, Jean Roesler and husband, Jimmy of Lampasas, and Mary Wieser of San Antonio; grandchildren, Molly Lesley, Carrie Shahan and husband, Ryan of Lampasas; great-grandchildren, Sydney Lesley, Vincent Shahan, and Henry Shahan of Lampasas; sister-in-law, Edwina Wieser, who passed on October 16, 2022; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sidney Wieser; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Sidney Darden; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Grace Wolfe; brother, Robert Wolfe; brothers-in-law, Vincent Wieser, Henry Wieser, and sister-in-law, Mary V. Majors.
Private services will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Jane's name to the Lampasas Public Library or St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
The family wishes also to extend their gratitude to long-time caregivers, Hannah Johnson and Dorianne Love.
