James Michael Sims

James Michael Sims, known as Mikey to friends and family passed away on December 4, 2022, in Copperas Cove, TX.  He was born on January 7, 1972 to Billy and Kandy Sims.  He went to school in Lampasas, TX and was an avid Texas Longhorn fan who loved fishing and drinking beer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Kandy Sims, and his only son, James Michael Sims, Jr., who passed away just 5 months ago on July 19, 2022.  

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Michelle Sims; daughters, Shandi Rogans, Alyssa Sacco, and Macie Sims; step-mother, Lumduan Sims; brothers, Curtis Sims, Billy Sims Jr., and Will Peusingchai; niece, Miranda; grandson, Brayden; granddaughters, Kennedy, Madilyn, and Makenzie, and long time best friend Jacob Shelton.

A private viewing will be held for James Michael Sims.  The family requests that those invited please wear Longhorn Orange in his memory.
