James "Jimmie" Marshal Perkins, 88, of Lampasas, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Silver Creek Assisted Living in Lampasas.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church Lampasas on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 10 am with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Townsen Cemetery in Adamsville.
Jimmie was born July 13, 1933, in Lampasas to Marshal and Annie Pearl Perkins. First and foremost he was a Christian and Baptist in his faith. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Lampasas. James was self-employed all his life working as a rancher, hauling cattle, and working his land.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Norman and Dorman Perkins.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Perkins; sons, David Perkins, Damon Perkins and wife, Connie; daughters, Dee Ann Howard and husband, Gene, Debra Jones and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Hollie Smith, Dustin Jones, Marcus Perkins, John Taylor, Amie Cox, Marielle Chambers, Ashley Langley, Kodie Perkins, Britlyn Griffith, Bryce Perkins, Paige Pharr, Megan Cooley; and 18 great-grandchildren.
