Jackie Dwain Reynolds, 64 of Lampasas, Texas died June 23, 2020 at Lily Springs Rehab and Healthcare Center. He was born December 5, 1955 in Lampasas to parents James Jackson Reynolds and Sable (Vann) Reynolds. Jackie grew up here and graduated from high school here. He was a truck driver by profession, yet walked down many paths during his life. He joined the Lampasas Volunteer Fire Department right out of high school and stayed an active member for over 20 years. He then discovered his passion as a truck driver and did that for many years for Wieser Mills, Design Foods, Agro Tech, Porter Construction, Lampasas Ice and City of Lampasas. His alter ego was “Disco Jack- the traveling DJ”. He played for private parties, weddings, VFW gatherings and the Lampasas Singles Club. He has boxes and cases and tubs of vinyl, 8 tracks, cassettes and CD’s stacked everywhere in the house for safe keeping. Jackie was a “collector”. He collected mostly unloved, rejected “stuff” that nobody ever knew they needed. He would come home with some of the most unusual “treasures” that he gathered as he visited his way around the neighborhood. He would re-gift them on many occasions or stack them in Mom’s back yard, little house or green house for safe keeping. He had a super sweet tooth and the nieces and nephews loved that he did. You could always find goodies scattered across Mamaws bar compliments of Jackie’s shopping addiction. He always had gum, tic tacs, Little Debbies, and fireball for all to enjoy. He is survived by his Mother, Sable Reynolds Sisters; Janice Garner (Eddie), Susan Millican (David) Brother, Robert Groves (Darla) Nieces and nephews; Tracy Taylor, Tonya Phillips, J. Craig Groves, Brent Groves, Wayne Groves, Courtney Groves, Amy Kirkpatrick, Jason Garner, Tyler Garner, Lacy Garner, Vann Millican, Bailey Millican, an uncle, Robert D. Vann. Jackie was preceded in death by his father, James Jackson Reynolds, by brother, J.D. Groves, and by grandparents, Doug and Mammie Vann and A.H. and Hattie Reynolds. Graveside funeral will be Friday June 26, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Smith Cemetery at Kempner. Visitation is at 1:30 at the cemetery.
