Chip Purcell, 36, of Copperas Cove, passed away following an accident in Lampasas on Tuesday, September 24.

Chip was born on December 1, 1987, in Houston, TX to Jackie Purcell II and Pam Badgett Purcell.  Chip graduated from Marble Falls High School.  He served in the US Air Force for 6 years and settled in Copperas Cove.  Chip was employed by Lampasas Building Components.

There was never a more avid sports fan than Chip.  He played baseball and loved the sport.  He especially loved his Dallas Cowboys, Texas A&M Aggies, and the Houston Astros.

Chip was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Jack L., and Shirley A. Purcell.

He is survived by his father, Jackie Purcell; his mother, Pam Hardy and his sisters, Courtney Purcell and Rossi Armstrong and his long-term girlfriend, Vicki Ellis. He is also survived and will be sorely missed by his nieces, Kiana Evans, Jacqueline Smith, Lanie, and Kenley Armstrong and nephew, Elyjah Purcell.  Chip also leaves behind his very special "Mom", Donna Holland Wilcox.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
