Ingrid Davis, a spirited soul whose essence resonated with love and laughter, passed away on December 3, 2024, in Kempner, Texas, leaving behind an indelible mark on the life of all who knew her. Born on December 31, 1943, in Roermond, Netherlands, to the late Matthias and Helena de Bock. Ingrid was a shining light, ever brimming with creativity and wit. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

As a milliner, Ingrid expertly crafted and designed hats that became treasures, reflecting her keen eye for beauty and her artistic flair. Each piece she created bore her unique touch and carried stories of her passion and skill. Beyond her work, Ingrid was a devoted grandmother and cherished family member who loved nothing more than to gather her loved ones close. Her happiest moments were spent sharing joy and laughter with her grandkids, fostering memories that will live on in their hearts.

Ingrid’s love for life was expressed through her hobbies, which included pottery. She delighted in making homemade gifts, pouring her heart into every creation, which served as testaments to her affection for family and friends. Ingrid’s witty personality brought warmth and humor to every interaction; she was known for her straightforwardness that endeared her to many. Whether dancing joyfully or singing along to music that celebrated her Dutch roots, Ingrid filled the lives of those around her with happiness.

Though her journey has come to an end, the beautiful legacy of Ingrid Davis will forever resonate within her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched. Her spirit remains alive in the laughter shared, the songs sung, and the memories created. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and authenticity that will continue to inspire those who carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ingrid is survived by her husband of 49 plus years, James Davis; two daughters, Sharon Taylor and husband, Sterling, and Tanya Cates; grandchildren, Sterling Jr., Stella, Sophia, and Gabby; friends like family, Thomas and Rita Lavender, and Ans and Cris Sheldon.
