Ima Jean Brooks

Ima Jean Brooks, 82 of Lampasas, TX died September 26, 2017 at Regal Nursing and Rehab. She was born April 22, 1935 in Lampasas County, Texas the daughter of Alfred Allen Millsaps and Winnie (Miller) Millsaps. She grew up here and graduated from Lampasas High School. Ima Jean married Elton Brooks September 6, 1958 and he preceded her in death. She worked in the banking industry and was a homemaker. Ima Jean was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Lampasas. She was the family historian.   Survivors include; 3 children, Darrell Brooks and wife Jayme, Diane Thompson and husband Malcolm, David Brooks and wife Sheila all of Lampasas. Grandchildren; Kayla Earnshaw and husband Wes Chad Brooks and wife Deniss Katie Brooks Dallas Brooks Great-grandchild, Gael Brooks   Visitation will be Thursday September 28, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be Friday September 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel, burial to follow in Rock Church Cemetery near Rumley.   Ima Jean was preceded in death also by her parents.   Family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association.
