Ileana Pla

Ileana Pla, age 73, of Killeen passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.
Ileana was born on August 23, 1943 to the late Manuel and Sarah Buffill Gallardo in Humacao, Puerto Rico. After high school, she graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a degree in education. She had a heart for special needs children and loved to care for her farm animals. Ileana married Luis Pla on April 26, 1969 in Puerto Rico. They raised six children and lived in Puerto Rico, Spain, New York, and finally settling in Texas in 2001.
Ileana was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Lola Gallardo, Teresa Gallardo, and Alice Gallardo.
Ileana is survived by her husband, Luis Pla; children, Francisco Pla and wife, Iliana, Javier Pla and wife, Evelyn, Frances Pla Spillers and husband, Ash, Ileanette Pla and husband, Jose Brito, Laura Pla, Luis Pla, Jr., and wife, Christie; sisters, Josephine Gallardo, Sandra Gallardo; and her 11 grandchildren, Javier, Ramon, Jeffrey, Sarah, Betty, Colton, Cassandra, Catherine, Christopher, Frances, and Iriana.
