Herbert Pichler

Herbert Pichler, age 77, of Kempner passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017. Graveside Services, with full military honors, will be held at 9:00 AM, Friday, May 5, 2017, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Herbert was born in Austria on August 27, 1939, to the late Victor and Paula Luschin Pichler. Herbert joined the United States Army in 1958 and served for 27 years. He retired as a SGM. In 1963, he married Heide Rademacher in Germany. After his military retirement, he continued to support the military working on Fort Hood as a contractor. Herbert will be remembered for being a loving and supporting husband and father.
Herbert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Heide Pichler; children, Danny Pichler, Karen Hostutler and husband, Michael; and his grandchildren, Bryce, Sierra, Taylor and Hailey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans or to the Alzheimer's Association.
