Henry Grady Jones, Jr., 89 passed away on July 30, 2020 at Lake Shore Rehab Facility in Waco. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church Lampasas. Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery with Masonic Services. There will be a come and go viewing for those who wish to pay respects and sign the register book on Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Grady was born on September 20, 1930 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Henry Grady Jones, Sr. and Margaret Agnes (Chapman) Jones. He attended The University of Texas at Austin where he received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1954, and was a member of Theta Xi Fraternity. He began work in Gladewater and then worked with his father at Pioneer Drug Store/Pioneer Pharmacy as a Pharmacist and then K&B Pharmacy. Grady worked as a relief pharmacist at Hodges and Sargent Pharmacy and retired after working over 50 years. He was a 63 year member of Danville Lodge #101, East Texas Commandery #104, York Rite Chapter and Council in Over R. &S.M, Grand Royal Arch Kilgore #449 R.A.M., Shriners, Past Master of Danville Masonic Lodge #101, member of Saratoga Masonic Lodge #546, 40 year member of Order of the Eastern Star, Past Patron of Kilgore Chapter #630 and Lampasas Chapter #295 and member of Burnet Chapter #425, Adult Grand Committee member of the International Order for Rainbow for Girls for over 40 years, recipient of the Grand Cross of Colors, Eagle Scout, former Scoutmaster of Kilgore Troop #265, Past Band President of Kilgore High School Band Boosters Club. Grady married Glynda Jo Gaedke on June 13, 1955 in Lampasas. They were happily married for almost 63 years. Grady was a member of Lampasas First United Methodist Church and enjoyed camping and ranching. He was very active in whatever his children were involved in. Grady was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Glynda and daughter, Geri Lynn Jones Morgan. Survivors: Son, Glenn Jones of Waco, daughter, Gay Jones of Lampasas; grandchildren, Heath Jones and wife, Amy of Enterprise, Alabama, Valerie Jones of Enterprise, Alabama, Garth Jones of Waco, Jay Morgan of Berlin, Germany; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Henry Jones and numerous other loving relatives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Geri Jones Morgan Memorial Longhorn Band Endowed Excellence Fund College of Fine Arts.
