Helmut Boerg

Helmut Boerg, age 79, of Copperas Cove, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 in Killeen.

Memorial graveside services will be held on a later date at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

Helmut was born on October 27, 1937 in Germany to the late Friedrich and Alice Grenette Boerg. In 1971, he married Elsbeth Foertsch. Helmut joined the United States Army in 1976 and retired after twenty-one years of service.  After his retirement from the Army, he worked as a Civil Service employee for over 20 years. Helmut was also a member of the Masonic Lodge while serving in Germany.

He is survived by his wife, Elsbeth Boerg; and his son, Mike Boerg and wife Patricia.
