Helen Pearl McDaniel

Lampasas

Helen Pearl McDaniel, 93, of Lampasas, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, in Temple.

Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 5 to 7 pm.  Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 10 am.

Helen was born September 15, 1929 in Briggs, TX to Fred and Emma Gertrude Reavis.  She graduated from Briggs High School and then went on to attend Jackson Business School in Lampasas.  She worked for the DPS in Austin for many years before returning back to Lampasas where she worked for Wieser Mill which turned into Evergreen Feed before retiring.  Her faith was extremely important to her and she was a devout Methodist.  

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clifford Canales and Dwight McDaniel; her brother, Fredrick Herd Reavis and her grandson, Leon Martin.

Survivors include her daughter, Alice Canales; her grandchildren, Cristopher Brister and husband Camron, Colter Burr and wife Katherine and Cheyenne Burr; great-grandchildren, Copeland, Carson, Carly, Emmalisa, Brooklyn, Franklin, Gracelynn, Erya and Phoenix as well as many sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Memorials in Helen's name can be made to the Lampasas Methodist Church.
