Heather Hartzell

Heather Hartzell, age 38, of Copperas Cove passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1502 Virginia Ave in Copperas Cove. Burial will follow at the Copperas Cove City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Friday at Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.

Heather was born on October 6, 1979, in Galveston, Texas to Lester and Deborah Boyd Schoonover. She graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 1998. During high school, she completed LDS Church Seminary which was held before school. After high school, she attended Southern Virginia University.  Heather was in the banking business the past 18 years and was currently one of the supervisors of the First Texas Bank (Wal-Mart branch). Heather married Kenneth Hartzell on June 13, 2008, in the LDS Dallas Temple. She was very active in the Copperas Cove 1st Ward.

Heather was preceded in death by her brother, Boyd Kenneth Schoonover.

Heather lives on in the hearts of her husband, Kenny Hartzell; daughter, Gracie Hartzell; parents, Lester and Deborah Schoonover; brothers, Joshua Schoonover, Matthew Schoonover and wife, Sarah; sister, Emma Schoonover; and nephews, Cayden Jones and Rayden Crisp.
