Gwendolyn Annette Watson, 83 of Kempner, Texas died Sunday February 3, 2019 at her home. She was born September 25, 1935 in Range, Alabama to parents Joel David Bonds and Ora Mae (Lee) Bonds. Gwendolyn married Carl Watson who was an Elder in the Primitive Baptist Church. She served the church as preacher’s wife and loved her church life and singing hymns. She was an expert quilter, and enjoyed all crafts. She was a wonderful seamstress and had crocheted many baby blankets. She was a master gardener and could grow anything. She loved Christmas decorations and having family get togethers. She was a good wife, loving Mother and great Memaw. She is survived by 3 daughters, Sharon Runyon (Jeff) Reba Wolfe (Lewis) Pam Beaty (Richard) 2 sons, Ronald Watson (Etta) Jason Watson (Shera) 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren also survive. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, by husband Elder Carl Watson and by her granddaughter, Kaylie Denise Beaty and by 3 brothers, Roger, Comer and Larry Bonds. Funeral service will be Wednesday February 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in New Hope Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
