Grafton Wain Seale, 79, of Adamsville, TX passed away at Spring Oaks Nursing Home on January 27, 2018. Grafton was born April 2, 1938 in Lampasas County the son of Grafton Richard Seale and Joyce Mae (Bynum) Seale. He grew up in the area and graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 1958. He was a firefighter for Copperas Cove FD and later Ft Hood FD. He was the first paid Fire Chief Copperas Cove had. Before becoming a firefighter, Grafton was a butcher at Allen’s Grocery in Cove, he was also the Butternut Bread man. After retiring from Ft Hood FD, He hauled cattle for the public and was a farmer and rancher. Grafton was a member of Evant United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Charlotte Seale, 4 children; Doyle Seale, Anthony Seale, Janice Seale Allen all of Lampasas and Joyce Seale Statzer of Graham, by 2 brothers; W.T. (Dub) Crumley of Stephenville and Louis Crumley of Fayetville, Ark. 11 grandchildren; Alan Sapien, Jesika Poston, Ashley Seale, Jillian Seale Patterson, Janine Seale, Roy Lee Statzer Jr., Noah Milligan, Zachary Milligan, Ashlyn Milligan, Justin Allen, Kelli Allen 9 great-grandchildren; Preston, Blaze, Asher, Jaxan, Aidan, Alaina, Axel, Avery Allen, Riley. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas, TX. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Evant United Methodist Church Evant, TX. Burial will follow in Hines Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations could be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Sneed Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
