Glenn Seelow, 81, of Kempner, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in Killeen. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Scott's Funeral Home in Copperas Cove.
Glenn was born on October 26, 1931 to the late Watson and Rose Vosburg Seelow in Gloversville, NY. He graduated from Gloversville High School and later married Betty Duffek in New York on March 7, 1951. Glenn joined the United States Air Force that same year. Glenn served for 23 years and 7 months before retiring in 1974 as a Tech Sergeant. Glenn began volunteering with the Boys Scouts of America in the early 60's. After retiring from the Air Force, they lived in San Antonio where he began to be more active with the Boys Scouts of America and began his professional involvement with the organization that lasted nearly 20 years. However, he volunteered for many years after that. In the past few years, Glenn was active at Clear Creek Golf Course. He loved his time on the course playing and visiting. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Glenn Michael Seelow and one brother and 2 sisters.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Seelow; daughters, Elaine Krewet, Barbara VanSpanje and husband Kevin; sons, Budd Seelow and wife Tammy, Mark Seelow; daughter in law, Debbie Poe; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
