Glenn Allan Maples, age 33 of Copperas Cove, was taken from this world way too soon on May 26, 2023. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Viss Family Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery in Kempner. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
Glenn was born on August 22, 1989, in Frankfurt, Germany to Tammy Sutton and Glenn C. Maples. He grew up and attended school in Copperas Cove, as well as Lampasas. Glenn knew college wasn’t for him and went to work doing any odd jobs that would come along. He framed houses for a while before starting his own business, All Pro Contracting. He was a hard worker, with “A Heart of Gold.” Glenn would do whatever he could to help others. He loved drawing, getting tattoos, as well as giving them. Riding motorcycles and working on them was his true hobby. He was in the process of building one that was like his father’s. Glenn’s love of motorcycles was second to his pride and joy, his son, Ryder. They did everything together, and Glenn would do anything to make sure Ryder had everything he needed. He would drop what he was doing if Ryder called and wanted something as simple as some ice cream. Glenn and Ryder had started their own little farm of roosters, chickens, and ducks. Glenn also cared deeply for his mom, Tammy, and sister, Kristi. He would call and check on them at all hours of the day or night, doing anything he could to help them out. He would never leave the house without saying “I Love You!” and giving a goodbye kiss. Gone, but never forgotten. Always in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Charles Maples; grandmother, Margaret Maples; as well as other grandparents.
Glenn is survived by his son, Ryder Maples; mother, Tammy Maples; sister, Kristi Maples; grandparents, Stanley and Tommye Sutton Sr.; aunts, Rena Oliver and husband, Tim, Joyce Clouiter, and Alicia Villegas and husband, Orlando; uncle, Stan Sutton Jr., and wife Jennifer; Ryder’s mother, Ella Kamille Horn, and her parents, Kathy and Geoffrey Tate; and many cousins.
