Glenda DeShon, 83, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020, at her home in Lampasas. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Sneed Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Naruna Cemetery. Glenda was born on October 14, 1937, in Kokomo, Indiana to Quentin and Roberta DeShon. She was one of the very first females to work in the steel mill in Kokomo. She also spent 16 years in Food Service with Lampasas ISD, where she retired. She loved to make candy and was very well known for her pies made from scratch. She was also a member of Community Church in Lampasas and a Past Worthy Member and Lifetime Member of the Center, Indiana Order of Eastern Star. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; brother in law, Wayne Jones; nieces, Marie Johnson and Diane Lindsey. She is survived by her sister, Edie Jones; brother, George DeShon and wife, Georgia; brother in law, Bill Jones and wife, Rose; nephews, Scott Clevenger and Billie, Brian Clevenger, Jeff Jones and wife, Debra, Robert Jones and wife, Shannon; niece, Mendy Clevenger and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Glenda's name to Community Church of Lampasas Building Fund at 219 E. 3rd Street, Lampasas, TX, 76550.
