Gerry Wayne Bernhardt

Gerry Wayne Bernhardt, 62 of Lampasas, Texas died Friday February 14, 2020 at his home. He was born November 5, 1957 in Austin, Texas to parents Ruben Bernhardt and Martha (Jennings) Bernhardt. Gerry grew up in Austin and began working at the early age of 9 by riding his bicycle. He graduated from McCallum High School and later began working for Texas Instruments. He retired from there with over 20 years service. He was a cowboy, riding bulls in high school. He loved hunting and fishing and supporting his children in all kinds of activities including 4-H. He enjoyed camping, hiking in Colorado and spending time at Inks Lake. He is survived by his daughter, Valerie McGrath (Chris) Grandchildren; Gauge and Hanna Brother, Ruben Bernhardt Jr. (Susan) Sisters; Sharon Goerlitz (Richard), Karen Harvey (Mike), Cindy Wolf, Laurie Williamson (Chad), Glenda Gallagher (James) Gerry was preceded in death by his sister, Laverne Riedel. Gerry’s body will be cremated and a celebration of his life is planned for family later.
