George Fleming Martin

George Fleming Martin, 75 of Lometa, TX died August 21, 2017 at his home. George was born December 3, 1941 in Lampasas, TX the son of Caldwell Martin and Mildred (Bostick) Martin. He grew up in Lometa and graduated from high school there. George the attended Tarleton for 2 years and went on to game warden school at Texas A&M. He worked as a game warden for about 10 years. George married Emma “Putzie “ Schoenewolf in March 1962. George later went to work for LCRA at Comal Plant in New Braunfels. He was transferred to Bastrop where he stayed for several years and then he completed his 25 year career with LCRA at the Austin SOC Center.     Survivors include: Wife, Putzie Martin of Lometa Daughter, DeRose Janecka of Flatonia Daughter-in-law, Teresa Martin of McKinney 4 grandchildren; Justin Janecka (Krystal), Katy Janecka, Heather Martin, Brandon Martin 4 great-grandchildren; Kaisley Janecka, Jehnsen Janecka, Cyaus Jackson, Cadence Jackson.   George was preceded in death by his son Tommy Martin and by his parents.    A memorial graveside will be held Thursday August 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Lometa Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lometa FFA P.O.
