Gayle May

Carolyn Gayle May, 71 of Lampasas, Texas died Saturday May 5, 2018 at Scott-White Hospital in Temple, TX. She was born June 12, 1946 in Vernon, TX to Dewey Lee May and Ila Florence (Lawson) May. Gayle spent many years living in Denton and Sanger area, where she worked for GTE as an operator. She retired after 30 years service. Gayle loved spending time with her grandkids, going to garage sales and watching old western movies.   She is survived by 3 children; Jay Lovejoy and wife Kristi, Clinton Lovejoy, Lorilee Hickson and husband Brian of Lampasas 2 brothers; Deloyan May of Abilene, Darlon May and wife Mary of Graham, TX 2 sisters; Dean Thomas and husband Troy of Yoakum Vondall Powell of Atlanta, GA Grandchildren; Brittany and Blake Graham Kaylee, Josey, Morgan Lovejoy   Gayle was preceded in death by her mother and by siblings; Vernice Yates, Leila Williams, Melton May, Alvin May, Olin May.   A visitation for Gayle will be on Tuesday May 8, 2018 from 6-8 p.m.at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Graveside funeral will be Friday May 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastview Cemetery in Vernon, TX.     For those wishing to make a tribute in her memory, please donate to the American Diabetes Association.
