Gauta Tui Sakaria, age 67 of Killeen, Tx passed away, Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Metroplex Hospital.
A rosary & celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Scotts Funeral Home, 1614 S. FM 116, Copperas Cove, Tx 76522. Catholic Mass Services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 26, 2013, by Father Matthew Kinney at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2903 E. Rancier Ave. Killeen, Tx 76543.
Gauta was born on December 18, 1945 in Lalomalava, Savaii to Laulu & Vavao Sakaria. He was employed for over 20 years as a construction worker in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a dedicated church leader at Our Lady of the Mount & St. John the Baptist in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was also a committed Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend to many.
Gauta is survived by his wife, Enina Sakaria of Killeen, Tx, and his three sons, Filipo Lui and wife, Vaefa of Redlands CA, Etemani Sakaria and wife, Eseta of Nolanville, Tx, Gauta Sakaria, Jr. and wife, Kim of Honolulu, HI, three daughters Letumu Ene and husband, Ala of Honolulu, HI, Senia Ka’aihue and husband, Richard of Killeen, Tx and Sharalyn Tuifao and husband, Liroy of Killeen, Tx. He is also survived by four brothers and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laulu & Vavao, his sister Mafatua and daughter Bernadette.
