Gary G. Holland Sr.

Gary G. “Big” Holland Sr., 70 of Lampasas, TX died Wednesday October 11, 2017 at his home. He was born August 9, 1947 in Houston, TX to parents, Ernest Weldon Holland and Gladys Pauline (Ivy) Holland. Gary grew up in Houston and once out of school lived and worked in the city for many years as a machinist. He married Freida McBride in 1968. In 1988 the family moved to Lampasas. He along with his family owned and operated G&F Cleaning and Lawn Care Service for several years in Lampasas. Gary was a member of Christ The Rock Church in Lampasas. He was a big fan of the Astros and Texans, he also enjoyed woodworking and going to drag races with Gary Jr.   Visitation will be Friday October 13, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday October 14, 2017 at noon at Christ The Rock Church. Burial will be Monday October 16, 2017 in Houston at Brookside Memorial Park at 11 a.m.   Survivors include wife, Freida Holland of Lampasas Son, Gary G. Holland Jr. and wife Jennifer of Conroe 2 grandchildren; Garrison and Caroline Holland   Gary was preceded in death by his parents and by twin brother, Larry, brother, Ernest and by sister, Diane.
