Garrett Howard Brewer, 71 of Kempner passed away on February 25, 2022, at home.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Brother Don Casper of the First Baptist Church of Kempner officiating.
Garrett was born in Gallatin County, Montana to Ariel H. Brewer and Gladys M. Gideon on June 12, 1950. He attended high school in Livingston, Montana. He attended the University of Montana in Missoula and later attended Central Texas College and Texas A&M Central Texas. Garrett worked in the Social field as well as various other jobs.
Garrett served in both the United States Coast Guard and the United States Marine Corps and was immensely proud of his service. He achieved the rank of MK3 (USCG) and Lance Corporal (USMC).
He was active and involved in his church and had served in many civic organizations for a number of years.
Garrett is preceded in death by his parents, Ariel and Gladys brewer; his brother, Happy Brewer; his 1st wife, Audrey Brewer; and 2nd wife, Joanne Brewer.
Garrett is survived by his 1st spouse’s children, Garrett “Shorty” Brewer II and spouse, Tanja and their two daughters, Richard and spouse, Laura Lee and their four children, and Keisha Brewer and her two children; 3rd wife, Delphia Brewer and her three sons; Allen Meyer, David Meyer, and James Meyer and spouse, Brooke Tuel; grandchildren, Brylee, Averi, and Shelby Meyer; and many family members and friends.
