Frances Kindler

November 29, 1930 — December 24, 2017

Frances Lorette (Schwausch) Kindler returned to be with her Heavenly Father on December 24, 2017. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 29, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 922 Lutheran Church Road, Copperas Cove, TX, officiated by Pastor Tobin Scott.  Burial following at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Copperas Cove. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Thursday at Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.

She was one of three children born to Theodore and Hulda Richter Schwausch.  Frances was born November 29, 1930, near Copperas Cove, Texas and lived in the area until passing away at the age of 87 years.

Frances was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church on December 26, 1930, by Rev. L.J. Werner, and attended school in a one-room school house at Immanuel Lutheran Day School.  On April 2, 1944, she was confirmed by Rev. Werner.

She was a life-long resident of the Copperas Cove area.  On December 7, 1947, she was united in marriage to Marvin C. Kindler at Immanuel Lutheran Church.   The union was blessed with two sons, Larry of Copperas Cove, and Ronald of Allen, Texas.

After over 20 years of service, she retired from the Post Exchange at Ft Hood, Texas.  Besides being a homemaker, her favorite hobbies were crocheting and making quilts.  She enjoyed these hobbies very much.  She spent many hours sewing quilts and loved to give them as gifts to family and friends.

Frances was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.  She served her Lord by teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and being an active member of LWML.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin of 58 years; her parents, Ted & Hulda Schwausch; and her brother, Eldor Schwausch.

She is survived by her two children, Larry Kindler of Copperas Cove, Texas, and Ronald Kindler and wife, Gayla of Allen, Texas.  She is also survived by her five grandchildren:  Lori Kindler and husband, Ken Clark of Tucson, Arizona,  Shara Kindler of Plano, Texas, David Kindler and wife, Joli of Austin, Texas, Jill Stevens and husband, Chris of McKinney, Texas, Kyle Kindler and wife, Delena of Burleson, Texas, and nine great-grandchildren.  Also, surviving is her sister, LaVerne Isert of Austin, Texas, and cousins, nephews, nieces, and many wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Cemetery Fund, or LWML at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
